KENYA TO HOST GLOBAL SUMMIT NEXT WEEK

Kenya plays host to thousands of investors and businesses next week in what is being billed as the biggest meeting of business minds in Africa.
The Global Entrepreneurship Summit will officially be opened by US President Barack Obama.
The summit will test Kenya’s capacity to host major conferences which will also be followed by the World Trade Organization meeting slated for October that is expected to attract more than ten thousand delegates.
The last time Kenya hosted a major global event was in the year 2009, when thousands of investors and leaders including former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were in Nairobi for the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act conference.
The meeting presented a major security and logistical nightmare for planners. Later this month, Kenyan authorities will be put to test again as the country hosts the Global Entrepreneurship Summit.
