Grief as doctor dies in a road accident at Witeithie


A cloud of grief has engulfed Thika following the demise of Dr. Bernard Kimani Njoki on Saturday morning.

Dr. Kim, as he is popularly referred to, died in a tragic road accident along the Thika Superhighway near Witeithie estate.

Sources close to the family indicate that , Kim met his death as he was in the process of towing away his car following an earlier accident at the same spot. It is said that the driver of another Toyota Probox lost control and smashed him along with the driver of the breakdown.

Kimani died on the spot while the breakdown driver lost both his legs in the process and was rushed to hospital.

Dr. Kimani worked in Kitale with Amref Health Africa and Helen Keller International. He is a resident of Makongeni Phase 10 in Thika. At the time of his death, Daktari was heading home from work.

  9. We had our first meeting today at Bloomington ton Gardens(Bushshade Hotel) opposite Kel Chemicals along Thika Garissa Road...we shall be having our meetings henceforth from 6.30pm as from kesho,plse avail ourselves.Rest in Peace Dr Kim.
