2 suspects arrested in Thika over Ciku Muiruri daughter's kidnapping

Two suspects have been arrested in Thika in connection to the kidnapping of Erica Njeri Muiruri, the daughter of media personality Ciku Muiruri, and her friend Shanice Agose .

The two girls were rescued yesterday (Sunday June 11, 2023) evening  at a house in Gatukuyu area of Mang’u in Gatundu North Constituency, eight days after they were kidnapped at Rhapta Road in Westlands by a taxi driver.

The two suspects, Timothy Kiragu Ng'ang'a (34) and Samuel Kipkurui (33) at Ngoingwa area where a cellphone belonging to Erica was found wrapped in a foil paper.

After being interrogated, they led detectives to a rented a single-room house in Gatukuyu where they had kept the victims.

The victims were rescued alive but visibly weak and shaken.

The kidnappers had demanded a Ksh.250,000 ransom from both parents.

Hours after they had been kidnapped, Ciku Muiruri took to Facebook to share the harrowing story of how her daughter Erica and her friend Shanice were abducted by a taxi driver.
