Nyoro issues title deeds to Umoja residents in Thika

Kiambu Governor James Nyoro has issued more than 60 block title deeds to over 1,750 people at Umoja informal settlement in Thika . 

This was a collaborative effort between the Kenya Informal Settlement Improvement Program (KISIP1), the National Government through the Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning, National Land Commission and the County Government of Kiambu.

This is the first of the more than 50,000 titles underway for various settlements in Kiambu.

Other settlements such as Kiandutu, Madharau, Kanjeru, Kiamburi, Kiang'ombe, Misri, Fort Jesus, Bosnia among others will also be issued with title deeds and infrastructure improvements.
