The injured were rushed to various hospitals with the severely injured taken to Kenyatta National Hospital.

The Monday morning accident caused a major snarl-up along the busy highway as you headed towards the Thika side.

Meanwhile, the management of Little Angels Academy School in Thika has assured parents of their children’s safety after an early morning accident involving their bus near Kivulini estate along the Thika-Garissa Highway.

In a statement seen by Thika Town Today – 3T, the management said that the bus was on its way to pick pupils at Kisii estate when a motorbike appeared from nowhere, forcing the driver to sway away in order to avoid head on collision.

This led the bus to veer off the road and enter a ditch. The bus has so far been pulled out and it's at the garage.
