GIRL, 12, ADMITTED THIKA LEVEL 5 AFTER DEFILED BY OWN FATHER.

A  12-year old girl has been admitted to Thika Level 5 Hospital, writhing in great pain after she was allegedly defiled by her biological father at Mithi-ini Village in Makuyu, Murang’a County on New Year's Day.

Recounting how it all happened, the girl explained that she together with her other male siblings were busy doing some of the domestic chores that their mother had instructed them to when their father sent her brothers to a nearby river to wash their clothes and take a bath. When she prepared to accompany them to the river, her father insisted that she be left behind so that she took care of the rest of the house chores.

As soon as her siblings were out of sight, the father recalled her into the house, lifted her to her bed and started sexually assaulting her. After he was done, he threatened to kill her if she ever told anyone of this ordeal. 

However, the STD 5 girl later sneaked to the nearby Kirimiri Police Station where she was sent to Makuyu District Hospital and later referred to Thika Level 5 Hospital.

Speaking at Thika Level 5 Hospital on Saturday, the girl’s mother Njambi, a mother of two girls and five boys, said she received a call from Kirimiri Police Station and rushed there immediately. 

She further disclosed that her other daughter has been living with her grandmother after she reported a similar incident two years ago. She said that despite reporting the case to the then police officers, no action was taken against the culprit.

The family is now wants justice to prevail and the man to face the full force of the law.
