Gov. Wamatangi meets President Ruto to discuss Kiambu agenda

Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi today held a fruitful meeting with President William Ruto at State House Nairobi.

Top on the list were Kiambu County priority projects 2022-2027 geared towards developing the county and raising the standards of living across the 12 sub-counties.

They included the dualing of Mangu-Thika-Garissa Road, which fits with Wamatangi's vision of the transformation of Thika town into Thika Industrial Smart City.

 
Secondly, fast track the dualing of Kiambu Road that will open up Kiambu town and the environs in terms of trade and agriculture. It also included the modernizing of several markets in the County to elevate the working environment and economic status of the mama mboga and all traders, not forgetting the operationalisation of the Hustlers Fund in Kiambu.

The discussions also revolved around the youth and sports agenda of completing and enhancing the Kirigiti International Stadium facilities, among other numerous projects that will transform health, the environment, agriculture, water, housing and education.
