Trader loses over Sh. 5m in Thika parking
Police in Thika are investigating an incident where a Thika trader lost over Sh. 5 million.
According to a police report, Mathew Magenda Githinji who is the Director of Bxbakolinxm LTD lost Ksh. 5,713,000/- after unknown people broke into his car at a parking opposite St. Patrick's Catholic Church.t
It is alleged the victim withdrew Ksh. 2,395,000/- from NCBA Bank Thika Branch at around 11am on Wednesday 22nd June 2022.
He then went to ABSA Bank Thika Branch and withdrew Ksh.1,815,200/- . He then proceeded to Consolidated Bank Thika Branch where he withdrew Ksh. 1,503,000/- and kept it below the front passenger seat of his motor vehicle and drove to public toilets near KPLC Thika Depot opposite St. Patrick Catholic Church where he parked and went to the toilets to relieve himself.
Upon coming back, he realised that the right rear window has been broken and cash totaling to Ksh. 5,713,000/- stolen.
