Murang'a man unleashes bees to protest brother's burial

There was drama at Nyaga village in Kihumbuini, Gatanga Constituency after a middle-aged man unleashed a swarm of bees to disperse mourners at his step-brother's burial to protest over some unsettled grievances.

The mourners were forced to scamper for safety leaving behind the coffin.

The man, who had climbed on top of an avocado tree, then vanished into the thin air.

Several people including pastors were stung by the bees even though none was severely injured.

The deceased met his death last week after he hanged himself on the assailant's avocado tree which was later cut down as per Kikuyu traditions.

It is alleged that the assailant demanded to be paid but this was not sorted in time, forcing him to disrupt the burial in protest.
