Thika Township MCA Andrew Ndirangu
Kimani has assured of his commitment to serving the interests of the people who voted for him, pledging
that he would not shirk his responsibility in ensuring the development of his
ward.
Speaking on Sunday at ACK Mugumo-ini church Thika where he
donated three LG 43” television sets to the church, the MCA hoped that before
his first term in office ends in 2022, he would have brought some positive
changes to the area and Thika in general.
“We have a responsibility to help our youth engage in decent
and honest income generating ventures. I hope and pray that before 2022,
thousands of youths in Thika will have started their own businesses in order to
sustain their livelihoods,” said Andrew.
He called on the residents to always seize the opportunities
that presented themselves from both the national and county governments, saying
that this was one way of solving unemployment in the area.
The county legislator added that, as their representative, he
would fight for improved basic infrastructure within the wards so as to ensure
that every resident enjoyed living in a decent environment.
He said that he would continue working closely with both
levels of government for the benefit of his electorate.
