Eric Maina aka Ericoh is a professional hair and beauty specialising in Bob Cut style, he works at Davies Hair Care,  he has being in this industry for almost 7 years, his advice to parents that may be hesitant to allow their children to pursue their passion in the beauty industry is to allow their kids to fuel their passion, he reckons the beauty industry is suffering due to the influx of fake products, he calls upon his clients to avoid incurring costs that are not necessarily when purchasing them they should come to him and get advise and top notch services.

He calls upon young people to shun politicians who are out there to use them as we head on to the August polls.

1.      Did you grow up in Thika?

Yes as a matter of fact I was raised in Starehe Estate back in the 90’s I also schooled at General Kago Primary School and Broadway High School, I have fond memories of this town from swimming at places such as KaUti, Kadimdim,playing futa at Butu and YMCA grounds, my childhood was quite eventful so to speak.

 2. What do you like about Thika Town?

Life in Thika is laid back, this town has virtually what you need be it places to reside at an affordable rate, cost of living is relatively affordable, I just love this town.

2.      What would like to change about Thika?

 Well, the rise in student population is a necessary evil but this has seen rent prices around this town sky rocket, I would wish these institutions would invest in building hostels for their students to cater for their accommodation needs, another thing I would like to see change is the Police-Civilian relationship, in that our job at times runs late in the night I have had my clients and myself arrested for walking at night and yet I was coming from work, these arbitrary arrests are just too much of late.

4. As a Hair Stylist how is it working in Thika?

The experience has been great most of my clients support my work, I have gotten referrals from them to other clients who are not from Thika.

5. What three things would you say to sell Thika as a place is worth visiting?

Thika is a business hub the should come and invest here, we have enjoyed lots of security something which we normally take for granted also the cost of living is something worth mentioning if the want to come and visit.
