This Time, We Will Silence Raila For Good. – Keter.

Energy CS Charles Keter light a bulb at the house of 65 year old Monica Wambui (centre) in Kamwangi when he commissioned the Last Mile Project in Gatundu North Constituency. Looking on is the area MP Kigo Njenga (in glasses).

Energy Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter has put CORD Principal Raila Odinga on notice that come August 2017, the Jubilee Government will hammer the final nail in the coffin and render him absolutely irrelevant in the Kenyan political scene.

Speaking at Kamwangi Village, Gatundu North Constituency while commissioning the ‘Last Mile Programme, Keter said that they were in no doubt that the ruling Jubilee Government will overwhelmingly win the next General Elections.

“We are not scared at all by their (opposition) intention to form a super alliance nor their noises. We welcome that and we are not bothered for we know that our votes are intact. This time we will beat them by over 65% so that we can silence that jamaa (Raila) forever. We will thrash him until he forgets politics for good,” said Keter.

Keter assured President Uhuru Kenyatta of a 100% ‘unconditional’ support in 2017 from the Rift Valley electorate.

“We will vote for him (Uhuru) a 100% with no condition. We are leaving the 2022 polls to God. We will not bar anyone from vying for the same. Our mission now is 2017 after which we will strategise for the next elections,” he noted.

He appealed to the nation to wary not when the opposition kept on making noise as they (opposition) had nothing to offer to the people of Kenya.

“They cannot give you electricity as I am doing here today nor can they provide drinking water to the people. They failed when they were in government because they had no agenda for Kenyans. Theirs is just to make noise,” said the CS.

The CS said that it was the government’s intention to ensure that the polls were peaceful and credible so that everyone when they won, the opposition would not have anything to lean on for a ‘nusu mkate’ kind of arrangement.

On the Last Mile Project, Keter noted that Gatundu North Constituency, with its 60% connection rate, was ranked the last in Kiambu County but in partnership with the area MP, his ministry will ensure that there was a 90% connection rate by next year.

“We have about 1,500 customers here connected to the national grid. We have about 200 transformers here and we intend to add on to the 71 that we have already done. I have promised your MP that we are going to install the 35 he is asking for so that we are at par with the rest of the country,” said Keter.

Area MP Kigo Njenga noted that since independence, no other government had ever invested in the constituency as heavily as the Jubilee Government.

“Since independence, Gatundu North has never benefited from any other government as they have in the Uhuru regime. The Jubilee Government has invested over 1.5 billion for roads, education and other essential services,” said the MP.

He appealed to his constituents to ignore the talk that went round that the Jubilee Government was the most corrupt. He warned them that all this noise by the opposition was aimed at creating voter apathy among the Jubilee strongholds so that they could reduce the voter turnout in these regions.

He promised that come 2022, as the residents of Gatundu North, they will back Deputy President William Ruto for the leadership of this country.
