Four Notorious Gangsters Arrested In Witeithie Estate.

Sub-County have arrested four notorious criminals and recovered stolen goods in
Molo area of the sprawling Witeithie Estate.
The AP got a tip off from members of the public that they
had spotted suspicious characters in their midst.
Led by Commander John K Kamau, Sgt. Tirus Murimi, assistant
Chiefs James Nyoike and George Mbugua accompanied by APCs John Matheka and
James Kimani, the team raided the suspects’ hideout in a plot in Molo Area. The
officers nabbed the four and recovered assorted items.
Upon interrogation, 3 of the suspects namely Martin Vialo
Muthama 27, Antony Mutuku Musesei 24 and Kennedy Mbithi Mutua 23 said they had
been hosted by their accomplice Gerald Kioko Muli 20. All the suspects are residents
of Kambiti, in Murang’a County.
Another of their accomplices has also been arrested in
Kambiti. John Musyoki is said to be the transporter of looted goods. The
suspects were transferred to Makuyu Police Station from Kambiti where the
operation took place overnight.
They said goods in their possession had been stolen from a
shop and bar in Kahuho centre of Kambiti Location, Makuyu Division in Murang’a
County on the night of Tuesday. Among the recovered goods were 3 gas cylinder,
2 motorcycle tyres, 11 tubes, 3 chains, 2 sprockets assort brews and empty beer
bottles and 11 packets of cigarettes.
Juja Sub-County AP boss Madam Doreen Gitonga said the
suspects and the recovered goods were handed over to Makuyu Police Division for
further action. She said since the suspects were cooperating with the police
there was a likelihood of more arrest.
Juja Sub-County Deputy Commissioner Muthama Wambua hailed
residents of Witeithie for helping the authorities to maintain law and order.
He urged them to keep up. Last Monday angry residents of Kamuthi lynched a
motorbike thief. The remains were removed to Thika Level 5’s General Kago
Funeral Home.
In Juja police recovered a stolen motor vehicle. Almost a
week ago, thugs armed with guns raided an electronics store in Witeithie and
robbed the owner Josephat Muriithi. They raided the store around 9:00 pm and
ordered him to lie down before robbing him several electronic gadgets. They
took time to rob customers who came shopping but were also ordered to
lie down before they were emptied.
