'MOTHER CHRISTMAS" BRINGS SMILES TO THE IMPECUNIOUS IN KIANDUTU SLUM.

It was all joy and merry as the integrated IDPs, the disabled, the aged and children from Kiandutu Slum were visited by 'Mother Christmas' on Wednesday the 23rd of December 2015.

The International Professional Counselors Centre, Africana  College and The Zambezi Hospital, Nairobi accompanied by friends from St Paul University Chapel converged at Kianjau Primary School to extend a hand of charity to the less fortunate in the slum.

IPCC counselors offered counseling services to the IDPs and the disillusioned, as a way to offer hope in facing tomorrow.

Zambezi Hospital set up a Medi-camp where everyone present got some medical check-up, treated for minor ailments and some referred to the hospital for a more intensive examination and reference. Among the things that were examined included their blood sugar, HIV/AIDS and some forms of cance.

The children were served with drinks and biscuits just to have a little taste of Christmas. Their parents went home with some foodstuff to enjoy over the festive season.

Entertainment was in plenty where the youth danced to popular hits.
