KEEP OFF CRIME, THIKA OCPD TELL YOUTH
Thika OCPD Erastus Muthamia has advised youths in the area to shun crime and work with their leaders on development projects.
Speaking to a section of youths at Thika Town on Thursday, Muthamia told youths to shun crime saying that it would not help them.
The OCPD said cases of young people taking part in crime were on a rise in the recent past.
“We are concerned by the high cases of youths who are taking part in crime. Something needs to be done urgently to rescue them,” he said.
The OCPD said the police will not hesitate to arrest young people who engage in crime. He said the law is not selective and anyone found contravening it will be arrested and charged in court.
Muthamia asked youths to take part in activities that would improve their lives adding that the government had set aside development funds which youths should take advantage of by applying for them.
Commenting on the ongoing fights against brews, Muthamia said that alot had been achieved. He added that the crackdown was still on in some parts of the area and warned brewers against starting the illegal business again.
