3 Directors arraigned in a Thika court over land fraud.
Three directors of Karura Modern Investment Company LTD in
Juja were on Tuesday arraigned in a Thika law court charged with two counts of
permitting falsification to an entry.
Peter Kihoto Kiiru, Francis Wandaka Chiragu and Stephen
Njambi Gichuche are said to have been the masterminds of land fraudulence in
Juja Sub County.
In the first count, the court heard that the three on 21st May
2016 in Juja having custody of register records jointly permitted an entry to
be made in the name of Martin Mwaura Nyambura and John Mwangi Kabura which in
material particular to be amended false.
The three were also charged that on 29th December
2014, they having custody of register records jointly permitted an entry to be
made in the name of Martin Kahara Kariuki.
The three pleaded innocent to all the charges leveled
against them.
Court presiding magistrate Hon C.A Otieno Omondi ordered the
three to be released upon payment of Ksh 50,000 cash bail and a bond of Ksh
100,000 with surety of a similar amount.
The case will be mentioned on 14th June 2017
while the hearing will be done on 11th September 2017.
