4 Men found murdered in Kijabe Forest identified
4 young men whose mutilated bodies were on Sunday found in Kijabe Forest and in Magadi have been identified.
The four were identified as Frank Obegi, Elijah Omeka, Fred Obare and Moses Nyachae. Obegi, Omeka and Nyachae’s bodies were found in Kijabe Forest with their private parts had been cut off. They all seemed to have died through strangulation.
One of them had been partially eaten by wild animals. They all had no identification documents and were naked.
The four went missing from Kasarani in Nairobi about a week ago before their bodies were discovered. Investigation into the incident established that the killers of the four lured them into their death traps using a mysterious woman.
Preliminary investigations by police show that the four could have been involved in online fraud as one of the victims had been arrested following a complaint at Ruiru Police Station; a matter that was later settled out of court.
Obare who lived in Sunton area, Kasarani, is well known in entertainment spots in the area. To neighbours, he was the guy who did academic writing.
Yesterday, their news were trending on Twitter with a section of the social network users claiming that they were fraudsters. It was alleged that the four lived lavish lifestyles and spent huge amounts of money when they went out to party at various entertainment joints in Nairobi.
