1000 students to benefit from Wa Iria’s “Nyota Zetu” Bursary Programme next week.

The County Government of Murang’a has unveiled a kitty to offer scholarships to see bright and needy students in the region access secondary education.

Through this initiative dubbed “Nyota Zetu”, over 1,000 students who excelled in last year’s KCPE exams have already benefitted.

Governor Mwangi Wa Iria has promised that this will be an annual programme that will see no bright student in the area misses school because of lack of school fees.

However, Wa Iria has pegged this awards to performance saying that those who failed to maintain good performance in school will be de-registered from the programme and their places taken up by other deserving cases.

Consequently, he has invited all the beneficiaries to attend a bursary presentation ceremony at Ihura Stadium in Murang’a on Monday April 29 2019.
