Urithi Putting Up A Sh. 0.5 Billion Elegant Estate In Nairobi.

Urithi Housing Cooperative Society has finally bought a 5-acre parcel of land within Nairobi area where it has started the construction of a posh gated-community estate dubbed Osten Terrace Gardens (Apartments) that will cost over sh. 500 million.

While introducing members to the site, Society CEO, Kevin Muthuri said that the project which is located 13km from the Eastern By-pass Kangundo Road and 600m from the tarmac at Joska Shopping Centre will comprise of 3 storey apartments.

“We will have 1/8 Acre plots with apartment blocks each. Each block will have 3-storey apartment of four, 2-bedroom apartments on each floor totaling to 12 units per block. The project will include courts of 4 blocks each. Living in an environment where your children can coexisted with beautiful natural surroundings was everyone’s biggest dream. You need to have peace of mind when you go home and relax in your house. Among the project’s features include:- Ceramic tiles in the whole house, In-built kitchen wardrobes and cabinets in mdf, Finished kitchen work tops with ceramic tiles, Steel casement windows, A stone perimeter fence all round and Landscaping in the whole estate.

Other features will be:- External steel doors and Flash doors for the internal openings, Curtain rods, Solar water heater per block, Bio-digester and Lawn sprinklers using recycled water from the bio digester.

One apartment will be 55sqm with its own lounge, kitchen, kitchen balcony, separate bathroom, washroom among other niceties.

Muthuri said the construction will be done in phases i.e. per block within a projected time frame of between 18 and 24 months. Each block will take a period of about 6 months to be completed but some will run simultaneously. There is a mobilization period of 3 to 4 months before construction commences.

He added that according to sales procedures of the project, members will be taken through the various plans. Members will select their respective plan, get offer letter for plan, and make deposit and eventually get allocated their unit and sign sales agreement upon reaching sh. 750,000.

The introductory price of one unit is sh. 1.6 million. One can pay for his unit on monthly installments of between 1 and 4 years plan.
