UBER finally arrives in Thika.

Uber has finally landed in Thika, the transport service mobile app that was launched in Kenya's capital Nairobi in 2015, has become very popular for its services and innovation among most tech savvy users and we can tell from the various social media platforms that residents are eager to use these services.


Uber a San-Francisco based cab service is now set to launch in Thika, making it the third city in Kenya.  To mark its entry into the Town the company is offering a promotion to, all Uber rides to, from or within Thika are 20% off  valid until Sunday at midnight.

The company launched its operations in the coastal city of Mombasa in March 2016, a move widely seen as  part of a grand plan for the East African market and the larger Africa.

Thika becomes Uber’s fourth new African city following other launches in Dar es Salaam (TZ), Kampala (UG), Accra (GHN).
