FINALLY KENYA CUP KICKS OF THIS SATURDAY!
The newly promoted Nationwide champions Thika RFC will this weekend face the 2014-2015 Kenya Cup champions KCB Lions at the USIU-A grounds Kick Off is at 2pm & 4pm.
Head coach Peter Mutai has made some few changes in the starting line up with the inclusion of newly signed players Mike Ndeke and Vincent Simani all formely KCB Rugby club and also Bruce Otieno from KCB Academy.
The biggest surprise will be the inclusion of rookey player Brian Kariuki (BK) into the main team,coming straight from high school his stellar performance during build up matches earned him a call up to coach Mutai's side.
Addressing the press after the training session yesterday Coach Mutai revealed that he is not up for any title. "I here to make sure that we remain for another season coming 2016-2017 rugby calendar. With the inclusion of Strength and Conditioning Coach Philla Olrando to the technical bench am sure will disappoint the few team that are assuming Thika is basically the whooping boys."
