POPE FRANCIS TO STAY IN KENYA FOR THREE DAYS
The recent 3-day visit by US President Barrack Obama and the
anticipated visit by His Holiness Pope Francis later in November this year only
confirms that Kenya is a blessed country. Preparations for the coming of the
head of Catholic Church in the world have already began in earnest with
everything being put in place to ensure he feels at home immediately he lands
at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
The delegation from Vatican is set to arrive anytime from now
to join their Kenyan counterparts in preparing for the Pope’s visit.
There is more good news for Kenya because it is now official
that Pope Francis will stay in the country for 3 days just like US President
Barrack Obama, who was in the country for a similar number of days.
Speaking over the weekend, Nyeri Bishop Peter Kairu,
confirmed that the Pope will visit Kenya from 25th of November
to 27th, the same month and will be in the country for a
whopping 3 days within which he will do his pastoral work.
The Pope will be received at JKIA by President Uhuru
Kenyatta, his representative to Kenya, Bishop Charles Dan Iel Balvo and
Cardinal John Njue.
