PHOTO OF THE DAY: RICE GROWING IN THIKA

When one talks of rice growing in Kenya, the first place that rings in ones mind is Mwea or Ahero.
But you will quite be shocked to know that we have the same in Thika Town (though in a very small scale).
Our team came across these two men preparing their paddy field for growing semi-aquatic rice.
This has been happening for quite sometime. They have harvested the rice for about three seasons now.
Ever want to know how rice is grown? Just take a walk along Thika-Garissa Rd near KVM, just next to the railway line and you enjoy a view like no other.
