Thika Water and Sewerage Company (THIWASCO) has announced a planned mass disconnection exercise targeting customers with outstanding water bills across its service areas.
In a public notice issued for June 2026, the utility company said the move is part of its ongoing efforts to recover revenue and enhance service delivery.
According to THIWASCO, customers who have pending bills risk having their water supply disconnected if they fail to settle their accounts promptly.
“This exercise forms part of our revenue recovery efforts aimed at improving service delivery and ensuring a reliable and sustainable water supply for all customers,” the notice stated.
The company has urged affected customers to clear their outstanding balances as soon as possible to avoid disruption of services.
