M.P. Shah Chania High School Registers Improved KCSE Performance in 2025
M.P. Shah Chania High School has recorded an improved performance in the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations, marking significant academic progress compared to the previous year.
According to the official results released by the school, 393 candidates sat for the 2025 KCSE, up from 338 candidates in 2024, and attained a mean score of 7.6, translating to a B- mean grade. This represents an improvement from last year’s 7.3 mean score, achieved despite an increase in the number of candidates.
The school also registered a notable rise in university qualification, with 279 candidates (71 per cent) attaining C+ and above, compared to 63 per cent in 2024. The improvement reflects strengthened academic systems and focused exam preparation.
Grade distribution shows encouraging outcomes at the top end, with 3 students scoring grade A, 19 attaining A- and 41 earning B+. A further 69 candidates scored B, while 81 attained B-, underscoring solid academic depth.
Importantly, the school recorded no D- or E grades and only a small number of candidates fell in the D and D+ categories.
