Our Lady of Mount Carmel Maryhill Girls High School has once again posted an impressive performance in the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations, reaffirming its position as one of the country’s top-performing girls’ schools.
According to the official results released by the school, 665 candidates sat for the 2025 KCSE and attained a mean grade of B+ (9.9008), with an outstanding 98.34 per cent scoring C+ and above, making them eligible for university admission.
The results show a strong concentration of high grades, with 64 students attaining grade A, 179 scoring A-, and 191 achieving B+, while 136 candidates earned a B. Notably, no student scored below grade C, and the school recorded zero D+, D, D- or E grades, highlighting exceptional academic consistency.
A comparison with previous years reveals sustained excellence. In 2024, the school recorded a slightly higher mean of 10.051 (B+) with 98.81 per cent attaining C+ and above, while the 2023 cohort posted a mean of 9.4423 (B) and 96.67 per cent university qualification rate. The steady improvement over the three years reflects strong academic systems and effective teaching strategies.
The 2025 performance is particularly commendable given the increased candidature, rising from 511 candidates in 2023 to 665 in 2025, without a significant drop in overall quality.
