The new features of iOS 9, including better battery life thanks to a new low power mode and a proactive Siri that learns your preferences. Apple Maps is also getting a big upgrade as it now includes public transport routes. If you want to get hold of it yourself, you'll need to visit the Apple Beta Software Program page and sign up with your Apple ID. Be warned, because this is effectively unfinished software there may well be bugs that affect the way your iPhone or iPad works. Meanwhile, the public upgrade will be available for free in the autumn - although Apple hasn't given a specific date yet.
