Over 1000 Kiambu County employees upgraded to permanent and pensionable terms

1,070 Kiambu County Government employees have benefitted from new terms service.

In a ceremony held at the county government headquarters in Kiambu town, Governor James Nyoro issued letters reviewing their terms of engagement from contract to permanent and pensionable.

Among those who benefitted were 670 female workers with 400 being male.

The Governor promised to continue improving the welfare of all employees, including those of casuals.

Lack of a scheme of service to guide the work force has caused career stagnation for many workers.

Nyoro observed that when he took over the leadership in 2020, the county government had no scheme of service, stagnating career development for employees for years.
