Thika sleuths arrest fugitive businessman who killed girlfriend in Section 2

DCI Thika West based sleuths yesterday the 5th February 2022 finally arrested Edwin Obworo Mokua the infamous Thika based businessman who murdered his girlfriend Lucy Njambi Njerehu in cold blood on the night of 6th January 2022 at Sunrise apartments Thika.

Edwin who fled immediately after committing the act has been on the run employing diversionary tactics from the detectives but such were not in his luck itinerary at the time of his arrest. 

After pitching camp in Chuka town, Sirare and Kisii, the hawk eyed detectives finally unearthed his unintelligent intrigues.

Employing intelligence integrated community policing theatrics, the detectives zeroed in on him at a gated homestead in Bumburia village in Marani sub county where the suspect had paraded his motor vehicle in readiness to dispose it off since it was well known by the public.

The detectives teamed up with their colleagues from Kegogi Police Station and Bumburia Police Post to heighten search of the suspect who seemed not to have set foot in the vicinity for the past three weeks after dumping his locomotive. 

Intelligence from the DCI sleuths led the team to Mosocho area where the accused had normalized his residence and bounced on him ending his 28 days runaway.

Edwin is currently cooling his feet in police custody pending arraignment in court on Monday 7th February 2022. 

Confirming the arrest, Thika West DCI Chief, Joseph Thuvi warned that no criminal will be allowed to commit crimes in Thika and run away with it. He/She will be pursued wherever he goes for hiding and be brought to face the full force of the law.
