Thika MP gives his view on the BBI recommendations

My Dear Kenyans,

I am an INDEPENDENT MP and I am writing this piece INDEPENDENTLY! Hear me out.
I have heard many arguments for and against BBI. I'm here to Clarify, not Reject or Support BBI.
No.1
On 35% to Counties:
Kenya as an Enterprise is owned by national and county government. Whatever money comes in via taxes or borrowing is income to the enterprise. It will be shared 65:35 .... period. Even if that income is one shilling, it will be shared according to this ratio.
Issue of where to get 35% is crafted to put Wanjiku off the trail.
With 35% to the counties, with a good governor, you will never even bother to know the name of national president! It will be inconsequential!
Example: Imagine what one can do with 40B in Kiambu county per year!
No.2
6 MPs in Kiambu brings in a whooping 800M in CDF per year....
This is replicated in Mt. Kenya region and beyond where we have skewed representation.
No.3
One man, One shilling.
In Mt. Kenya, you are getting an average of 3K per person. Lamu gets 24K per person. BBI restricts a max ratio of 1:3
If Lamu gets 24K, Mt. Kenya MUST get 8K minimum.
No.4
Leader of Opposition Office is government in waiting with budget and shadow ministers who keep sitting government on its toes.
Why do you think current government is borrowing like crazy and wasting with impunity.... because there is no formal office to stop them!
No.5
And VERY IMPORTANT! We need inclusion in leadership. The President, Deputy President, Prime Minister and his 2 Deputies....
ALL MUST COME FROM DIFFERENT REGIONS (Regions = Former Provinces) AND THEY MUST ALL COME FROM DIFFERENT ETHNIC COMMUNITIES.
ONE OF THAT POSITION MUST BE RESERVED FOR THE SMALL COMMUNITIES.

On this last one, let's all join hands to have it in BBI!
MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS, LET'S THINK ECONOMICS. POLITICS TO COME IN 2022!
Hon. Eng. Wainaina Jungle. Thika Town MP.
