The revival of NDUMANGO Irrigation Scheme, that was revived a few months ago by the MP after years of plunder and misappropriation of funds, is changing the livelihoods of this rural community in Thika East Sub-County.
The completion of the entire project will see over 10,000 household benefiting.
Through his Jungle Foundation, the MP has already pumped in over Ksh. 30 million into the project that had stalled since 2015 after misappropriation of public funds.

Ngoliba Ward is one of the wards in Thika Town Constituency with a history of numerous cases of starvation, especially during dry spell when the residents depend on food donations to survive.
While speaking during the groundbreaking ceremony and delivery of pipes to supply water to households in Ngoliba village, Wainaina said that upon completion of the project, he would push to see Ngoliba ward turn into one of the country’s key food baskets.
