A delegation from World Bank visits Kiambu to evaluate the implementation of KUSP projects.

Kiambu County Government on Monday hosted a delegation from World Bank who are on a review of the implementation of projects being funded by the organisation through Kenya Urban Support Program (KUSP). 

Among the ongoing projects being implemented under the KUSP programme are storm water drainage, sewer lines, street lighting, roads, beautification of public open spaces and a fire station in Karuri

Kiambu is currently the largest beneficiary of the Urban Development Grant by World Bank having received Ksh 1.89 billion for the FY 2018/2019.

The 26 infrastructure programmes have been spread across the 6 municipalities in Kiambu namely Kiambu, Karuri, Thika, Kikuyu, Limuru and Ruiru.
