Thika MP tells Uhuru to throw corruption suspects in jail so as to boost Kenya's graft war.

Thika MP Eng. Patrick Wainaina (Centre) enjoys a bite during the wedding ceremony of Mary Njoki and Ken Mukuha at the MKU Pavilion Grounds.  With him is his Personal Assistant John Mwangi Njuguna and the groom's father Eng. John Muchiri.

Thika Town MP Eng. Patrick Wainaina has appealed to President Uhuru Kenyatta to get tough on the war against corruption by ensuring that all those mentioned in graft are jailed.

Speaking while attending the wedding of Mary Njoki and Ken Mukuha at the Mount Kenya University Grounds in Landless area of Thika West Sub-County, Wainaina said it was disheartening to everyday read about the loss of billions of shillings meant for development projects in the country by greedy individuals in government.

“There is so much negative news about our beloved country each day. How I wish these thieves get struck by God’s wrath and lose those hands they are using to steal from public coffers!” he exclaimed.

“Can we now start seeing (President) Uhuru jailing these people. It is so disturbing to elect someone and then he or she turn against these same people and steal from them,” he added.

The groom is the son to Eng. John Muchiri who has been very instrumental in the provision of water to residents living in semi-arid areas of Thika East Sub-County under the MP’s programme of ensuring that all his constituents accessed clean and safe drinking water.
