WASREB invites Thika residents to discuss THIWASCO’s performance.
The Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) has invited the
residents of Thika for a public consultation meeting to get consumer
concerns on services provided by Thika Water and Sewerage Company (THIWASCO)
and those proposed to be provided by the Water Service Providers (WSPs).
The meeting shall be held at Blue Post Hotel Thika next
Tuesday, October 23rd 2018 beginning at 10:00am.
In an advert on the local dailies and signed by WASREB Chief
Executive Officer Eng. Robert Gakubia, the members of the public in respective
areas have been invited to make either oral or written submissions and ask any
questions that may relate to the provision of water services in their areas.
“In line with the requirements of the law for consumer
protection in the licensing of Water Service Providers (WSPs), we wish to
advise that a public consultation meeting for Thika Water and Sanitation
Company shall be held at Blue Post Hotel Thika on October 23 2018 at 10:00am to
get consumer concerns on services provided, and those proposed to be provided,
by respective WSPs,” reads part of the notice.
Personal identification of participants will be required.
