A suspected drug peddler who has for a very long time
escaped the police dragnet has been arrested.

Wanjiku Kagwa aka Mama Ndichu was apprehended in Witeithie Estate Juja Sub-County
following a tip off from wananchi after she was spotted.
Witeithie Assistant Chief James Nyoike and his Nyacaba
counterpart George Mbugua led a contingent of officers who raided her home and found
her in possession of 62 rolls of sativa cannabis which was not in medicinal
form.
According to Nyoike, the suspect was locked up at Juja Police
Station at around 10.00am yesterday and will appear in court today (Monday
2 July).
Elsewhere, Juja DCC Charles Muriithi has banned with
immediate effect Video games /shows during the day.
Muriithi says that this decision was arrived at after his
administration ascertained that these video joints had been converted into
criminals hideouts where they plotted schemes to commit crime.
He added that the video shows, just like pool table games
and bars, will only be allowed to operate between 5pm-11pm on weekdays and
2pm-11pm on weekends and holidays.
The DCC instructed chiefs and police to arrest all those
found flouting this directive.
At the same time miraa vendors have been warned against entertain
idlers at their business.
He said both miraa and video joints were drugs dens.
