11 people arrested in Thika while illegally refilling LPG gas.

Eleven people have been detained at Makongeni Police Station after they were arrested operating an illegal Liquefied petroleum (LPG) gas refilling station at a Thika estate.

The suspects were nabbed in a multi-agency operation composed of  officers from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), the Anti-Counterfeit, Pharmacy & Poisons Board, The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) and police drawn from both Thika and Makongeni Police Stations.

They suspects are staff and employees of the LPG gas filling entity located in Umoja area of Makongeni location. 

Confirming the incident, Thika West OCPD said that they will be arraigned in court on Monday 4th of June 2018.
