Met Dept. tell Kenyans to expect heavy rains from Monday

The Kenya Meteorological Service has warned Kenyans to prepare
themselves for heavy rainfall in most parts of the country starting from Monday
next week. These rains are expected to fall for the next 7 days.
They however say that the rains will not be as heavy as the
one experienced in the recent wet spell.
“Heavy rainfall of more than 40mm in 24 hours is expected
from Tuesday March 13, 2018 over Western, South, Central Rift Valley and
Central Kenya including Nairobi,” reads the statement.
The weatherman issued a flood warning in urban areas asking
people not to walk or drive in moving water.
Counties that will be affected include; Kisii, Kericho,
Bomet, Narok, Migori, Kakamega, Kajiado, Nakuru, Kwale, Marsabit, Wajir,
Isiolo, Turkana, Samburu, Nairobi, Nyeri, Kiambu, Murang’a, Kitui, Machakos,
Makueni, Kilifi, Mombasa, Lamu and Taita Taveta.
