KAFE AFRIKANA: A blend of class, taste and ambiance.
Thika Town is now emerging as one of the most exciting and
diverse food and restaurant capital
in the Mount Kenya region. In recent years, the town has gotten much better at high-quality
affordable dining with a constantly evolving food scenes.
With new openings almost every few months, it is difficult
to keep up. The pace at which eateries are modernising and as the
internationality of food becomes ever more commonplace, the ambience of using
fresh healthy ingredients set in a relaxing and friendly environment with leave

The New-Kid-On-The-Block in this endless list of new food
joints is KAFE AFRIKANA, located on the ground floor of Maisha Heights along Kenyatta Highway,
right opposite PIZZA INN.
The place is class; a symbol of quality, refinement and good
taste which offers rich and diverse menu of Afro and Continental dishes, an entire
range of coffee drinks and Happy Hour
Cocktails.
KAFE AFRIKANA offers a
capacity of 75 seats.
“Our joint combines a characterful design, a high level of
service and a laid-back ambience, creating a place where you can ‘recharge your batteries’ after a long
day’s work and enjoy cosy comfort. We offer a wide variety of gastronomic
specialties, from African dishes and dishes of continental cuisine. Every
evening, we have a Happy Hour between
5pm and 8pm where selected cocktails go on offer, answering every taste and
requirement,” explains Cecilia Maina, the Multi-unit Manager.
The warm colours that envelope the place create a
welcoming atmosphere for its clients as they enjoy breakfast, lunch or romantic
dinner from a selection of dishes produced with an authentic culinary journey
in the Kenyan spirit and hospitality.
Cecilia adds that they too offer office deliveries free of
charge within a certain distance range.
“We also have what we call the ‘Grab & Go’ where our clients call to order some food which they
later drop by at their own convenience to just pick and leave,” she further
explains.
The manager takes pride in their service saying that it is
the best you can have around.
“Ours is a casual dining in a classic setting. The best you
can have around for family and business associates. We have dishes for all
kinds of taste and also offer something special for the vegetarians.”
“Our experience with their mouth-watering flavours today is
out of this world. The food is excellent and you can taste the freshness of
ingredients in each bite. Their service crew are attentive; paying careful
attention to each little detail. The atmosphere here is just awesome, giving
you the feel of royalty in the tranquil ambiance of our hotel lounge. What else
can I ask for? This is an incredible and special dining experience that is not

The hotel has some underground parking and security is
guaranteed. It runs from 7am every morning and closes its doors at 10pm from Monday
to Thursday and 11pm on weekends.
With another branch at Ananas Mall in Makongeni Thika, this
new joint brings to four, the number of branches under this outfit. KAFE
AFRIKANA has a branch in Parklands and Westlands in Nairobi.
