3 'Juju' Thieves Arrested, Another Lady Loses Sh. 50,000

Barely a week after we highlighted the story about Lucy Eyapan the young lady who was drugged and conned over Sh30, 000 by some 'juju' thieves, Thika Police have arrested three of women who had been conducting this heinous act.

Addressing the press from his office early this week, Thika West OCPD Erastus Muthamia said that the three were arrested following some tip off by the members of public who tricked them with money.

He added that the culprits were known but could only steal using drugs or unknown powers which confused the victims before they lose their memory and let their property go off with the criminals.

Muthamia added that the police were pursuing two other women following a similar incident that involved another lady near Nakumatt supermarket in Thika who lost Sh50, 000 plus other personal valuables.

“We have recived another complaint in an incident near Nakumatt supermarket that occurred on Thursday last week and we have launched investigations. On the bank issue, we are probing the incident using the CCTV cameras in the bank and we are sure to apprehend the perpetrators,” he said.

The OCPD cautioned the members of public to be wary of strangers saying incidences of drug theft were on the increase.
