Brian Has Finally Gotten 'Wings To Fly'.

Last year’s KCPE  top performer, Brian Maina Njoki from Kiandutu Slum was Tuesday among successful 'Wings To Fly' applicants from Thika Region who were flagged off to Moi International Sports Center - Kasarani Stadium for their induction and subsequent commissioning of their scholarship program. Maina had been featured earlier in this forum expressing his fears that his dream to join secondary school being quashed due to his parent's inability to raise school fees.

Brian Maina was later  selected to join Kagumo Boys High School, considered one of the best high schools in Kenya. He will now benefit from a comprehensive scholarship that will include tuition fees, books & stationary, uniform, transport, personal effects and pocket money thanks to the Equity Foundation Initiative.

Speaking to Thika Town Today, Brian was overwhelmed with joy to a point of lacking the right words to express himself. He thanked the foundation and all those who played part in his successful admission into this programme. He too thanked his former teachers, his mom as well as his grandmother who have been all through being there for him.

He promised to be the real agent of change for his imediate family, Kiandutu and Thika communities promising to make everyone proud after all was over.

Brian was among 30 other deserving cases drawn from primary schools in both Thika East and West Sub-Counties who made the assessor's mark.
