RESILIENCE! MADARAKA MARKET TRADERS, THE CATS WITH NINE LIVES.

Even after all what they have through over the last few days, Madaraka Market traders still have the spirit to wake up early each morning and ensure that you have something for your next meal. We call this resilience, the kind of spirit that each and everyone of us must borrow from them.

Just a few days ago, these traders woke up to the pain of losing all their investments in a fire that had been deliberately ignited due to a dispute on the affairs of the market. The losses came like dominos. Theirs is a story of a people creating wealth, losing it overnight  but immediately starting to create it again.

These are the critical lessons Kenyans should learn from this group of resilient people and apply in our own lives. They say, kuvunjika kwa mwiko si mwisho wa kusonga ugali.

LESSON:
Birds sing after a storm; why shouldn't people feel as free to delight in whatever remains to them?
