POMP N COLOUR AS THIKA FETES MASHUJAAS

It was pomp and colour at the Blue Post Hotel as Thika played host to the Mashujaa 2015 Awards ceremony as well as the Mr. & Miss Mashujaa beauty Peagent. All roads headed to the hotel sandwiched by two falls last evening to witness that very precious moment. People of all walks of life packed Batian Hall, dressing in all colours and fashion trends, showcasing the beauty of the Kenyan taste.

The occasion, organised by Amo La Moda Kenya, was done in honour of Kenya's heroes and heroines, both living and those who have passed on, in recognition of their personal contributions to the Kenya we pride in today.

Various young models from Thika, its environs and Nairobi showcased their talents in various categories. Local artists and entertainers too kept the mood of the revelers in a merry mood throughout the session which went into the wee hours of Wednesday morning.

Various "Shujaas" who had been nominated from virtually all spheres of life were feted after undergoing an online and SMS voting by fans that had been going on for more than a month.

After all the rigorous activities in the hall, the following emerged the people's Mashujaas for the year 2015:-

Women Rep. of The Year: Hon. Anne N Gathecha (Kiambu)

Governor of The Year: Hon. Alfred Mutua (Machakos)

Senator of The Year: Hon. Wamatangi (Kiambu)

MP of The Year: Hon. Aden Duale (Garissa Township)

MCA of The Year: Hon. Mwangi WaMwangi aka J. BEE (Hospital Ward, Thika)

Campus Leader of The Year:?Jomo Odhiambo (JKUAT)

Female Presenter of The Year: Jennifer Wairimu (MCTV)
