Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has issued a 14-day ultimatum to all the twelve sub-county administrators and 60 ward administrators to revamp government service delivery.

Governor Kabogo, who was speaking in a meeting attended by all sub-county administrators and ward administrators in Thika on Wednesday said that services offered at sub-county and ward levels are wanting.

"This issue of corruption is of high priority to my Government and indeed to the people of Kiambu County. I have reaffirmed my commitment to ensuring that we have an efficient public service that is able to provide quality service," Kabogo said.

The governor, who had been flanked by Kiambu County Deputy Governor Gerald Githinji and other county executives, said that his administrators failed to administer professionalism in their work, thus he had no other option but to give a 14 day notice to all the county officers to step up and revamp government service delivery to mwananchi or face expulsion from the public service. He added that he expected them to immediately institute reforms that would address delays in service delivery, improve revenue collection and discharge their respective mandates with integrity, courage and utmost professionalism.

The meeting was meant to deliberate on integrity, revenue collection and efficiency of the county's public service.
