CRIMINAL ELEMENTS IN MAJENGO, BIAFRA WARNED TO CHANGE WAYS OR ELSE......
Criminals terrorising residents of Thika will be dealt with accordingly. This was said by Thika West OCPD Erastus Muthamia in Majengo Estate over the weekend at a security meeting. He said that his office had been receiving numerous reports of criminal gangs operating in the area especially at night.
Muthamia warned them that the policehad laid down traps and soon criminal elements in the sub-county would be netted and prosecuted.
“We have mapped out areas where criminals are said to be causing havoc in some parts of Thika. Strategies are in place to ensure we curb the incidences and apprehend the culprits,” he said.
Muthamia said that security officers would not tolerate crime and that anyone engaging in it must immediately surrender or change ways as they won’t be given space anymore. He said that law enforcers would conduct security swoops on a 24-hour basis in a bid to tame crime immediately adding that he directives from the county commissioner’s office to deal with crime decisively after she was heckled in a public meeting in Thika earlier last week.
The OCPD at the same time appealed to the youths in the area to desist from crime. He said that young people are being used as weapons of crime.
“My appeal is to young people to stay away from people who would want to use them as weapons of crime,” he said.
Muthgamia further urged the local residents to remain vigilant and help the police curb criminal activities
