A THIKA BASED BUSINESSMAN KIDNAPPED, BODY ABANDONED IN GATUNDU

Benson Macharia Wanjama, a well known figure in Thika Town, was yesterday found dead, in Gatundu, hours after his family reported his kidnapping.

Ben, as he is popularly known, had a bullet wound in his left eye, in what is believe to be a revenge murder. Some gunmen carjacked him as he entered his home in Ngoigwa Estate at around 9pm on Wednesday, bundled him into the boot of his car and drove off.

His body was discovered in his car, which was abandoned in Rwera area, Gatundu.

Macharia is said to have been involved in several controversial land transactions and court cases.
