US ISSUES TERROR ALERT ON OBAMA VISIT TO KENYA

The US State Department on Monday issued a travel alert ahead of President Barack Obama's visit to Kenya on July 24, warning American citizens being targets during the 6th annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in Nairobi. US citizens were asked to maintain a high level of security awareness and enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Programme to receive pertinent safety and security information.
The alert will expire on July 30, after the summit ends.
Canada also issued a similar alert earlier in the month, urging its citizens to exercise a high degree of caution due to the increasing number of terrorist attacks and incidents of crime.
