The Bridal Villa Provides Thika Residents With A Perfect Valentine's Day Escape Route

This Valentine's Day, some of the heavyweights of the fashion, beauty and entertainment world offered their inspiring lines to the fashion-entertainment audiences at the Mama ngina Grounds Thika opposite Mathai Supermarket. It was a busy three-day activity for Thika's designers, models, caterers, entertainers and artists with Dgohnie Hair Arts leading the way.

The curtains to the 2nd Edition of The Bridal Villa went down at Mama Ngina Gardens with models gracing  the runway on 12th Feb with street fashion, 13th Feb with African wear fashion and finally Valentines with red carpet  dinner wear creations.

This year's event featured performances by Thika's own hip-hop fusion artist and models who put on a fashion show, featuring garments that were a great crowd puller. Each runway was topped with a beautiful floral arrangement from Lil Magic Events.

There was also a stands by exhibitors set up where patrons could buy products and foods some of which were quite new to these patrons.

Top Sponsors for the event included exhibitors from wedding service providers to health. B-sounds Entertainment provided PA & deejaying academy, Artskills films covered video & photography, Lil Magic Events provided deco & tents, Legends Welfare Group, Dgohnie Hair Arts for the stabbing bridal hair styles, Thika Town Today kept the event trending on social media, Rubyz Delight on catering department, Lavish Beautique on make-up for the models, Everest Cakes for the street kids to grace the final day, Trends Parlour worked on the models nails, with Artistic Bead n Curio works from Trueson & Orina respectively.

Kiambu County Government in conjuction with the national government facilitated on the logistics and venue, ID Cards registration, HIV & AIDS testing among others.

The 3-Days Event was organised and co-ordinated by Boniface & John from the county Government of Kiambu and graced by Madam Marie Mugo, the Chief Officer Youth , Sports & Communications Department.

In her closing remarks, Mugo asked the youth to take advantage of the Kiambu Biashara Fund to empower themselves economically. She asked them to familiarise themselves with the fund and how to access it by making use of the Thika Youth Office. She added that the county government would replicate such expos in other sub-counties in order to assist the youth to exploit and monetise their talents.

She called upon the youth to avail themselves on the 17th of February for a bodaboda sensitisation seminar and an artists training that will be facilitated by the Youth , Sports & Communications.
