How will "Thikarians" spend their Christmas?

Christmas is considered a very important Holiday in the religious calender, Thika Town Today asked a cross-section of Thika residents about their plans this Christmas.

The veteran Gospel Deejay says "This Christmas I will be sharing with my family,of course a goat has to write it's will in the early morning hours of 25th he quips. He will then help his Mom to  prepare food and cook. 
Later on as its part of their family tradition they will have a fellowship and the later hook up the dj machine; my brothers being all dj's and my dad being a retired dj we will sample tracks make fun and Merry." 

He takes the opportunity wish his fans a Merry Christmas.









Gladys Chania (County Coordinator Kiambu TNA)

A busy woman, the TNA Kiambu County Coordinator has been spear heading various campaigns tailored at empowering women and youth particularly in the fight against drugs and substance abuse. Madam Chania says that her plans this Christmas will be limited, her heart doesn't  feel settled because of the conflict situation in neighboring Burundi, she will however find time to enjoy a goat barbecue at her home in Thika with her family. "I had a marathon of activities I  the year 2015 and expect to do more 2016 God willing,"she says

The St. Patrick's Catholic Church Youth-Thika Deputy Secretary says that 2015 has been quite an eventful year for her.  "This Christmas I just want to sit back spend it with family and loved ones and most importantly I want to spend it with my parents to appreciate them for everything they have done for me. Christmas is a time for reflection as the new year comes, I will be taking time to reflect on my life and make new plans for the new year." she says.

The man who hails from Thika says he has made a few plans for Christmas which include taking time off to visit a Poverty Stricken Home in Athena- Thika on 25th. 
He wishes Thika people a merry Xmas and a happy new Year and reminds them to help the less privileged in our society.
