TALENT CENTRES FOR ALL COUNTIES TO PROMOTE KENYA'S OWN 'RIVERWOOD'.

The Jubilee Government will establish talent centres in all the 47 counties to support youth with exceptional skills in entertainment.
Speaking after hosting the Kenya Music Festival Winners’ State Concert at the Kisumu State Lodge, President Uhuru Kenyatta said that the Government will support the sector so that it can compete with its peers in countries like Nigeria where entertainment creates huge employment.

“I want to see our entertainment industry become a sector that creates employment and the Government will play its part.”

President Kenyatta also launched the book, "The Talanta Year Book of the Kenya Music Festival 2015", to be published annually to document the key events of the music festival. The theme to this year's book was ‘consolidating our national values and ideals’.

The festivals usually represent the face of Kenya because it brings together participants from all levels of the country’s education system beginning from the ECD centres to the universities. It is a microcosm of our education sector.
