KIAMBU STUDENTS TO GET MORE MONEY ALLOCATED TO BURSARIES.

Kiambu County Assembly has approved a move by the county government to increase the bursary funds from Sh1 million to Sh2 million for each ward this financial year. This is a move meant to ensure that every deserving Kiambu resident benefits from bursaries.

The county government has made the same request through the department of Education and Cultural Services. Though the County Government wanted a bigger budget they were contended with what was availed to them by the assembly.
Poor parents in the county have been flocking MCAs' offices seeking for bursaries to to clear their children's school fees.
